Welcome to the Hexagon Geospatial Community! 

Gain, exchange, and share knowledge, or discuss topics with other Hexagon Geospatial Product pioneers and experts to get the most out of Hexagon Geospatial products.

This is the place to get technical information, ask general questions around our products and services, and keep up to speed with the latest technical Hexagon Geospatial news.

 

 

Community Structure

The community is devided into these main categories:

  • Blogs
    Get the latest on our technologies: from what engineering is working on, to news about the latest APIs, as well as developer tips and tricks.
  • Discussions
    Discuss topics with other Hexagon Geospatial Product pioneers and experts.
  • Power Portfolio
    Simply put, the Power Portfolio organizes our products into suites, combining the best photogrammetry, remote sensing, GIS, and cartography technologies available.
  • eTraining
    Have a question but no time for formal training? Check out eTraining! It's fast, focused, and free! 

HexPoints

HexPoints are a way to build your own reputation as a helpful and frequent contributor, as well as a way to thank the authors of posts. Whenever you find that a post was helpful, well formed, insightful, or otherwise generally valuable you are welcome to give HexPoints to this post and its author.
HexPoints also help you to rank up in the community. The more HexPoints you earn, the further up the ranks you’ll climb. You also increase your ranking simply by giving HexPoints to others!

People who collect the most HexPoints will earn rewards from time to time.

 

How to post a question?

What is it?

Do you have a question and do not find the answer using the search bar? 

No problem. Just join one of our forums and post a message there. 

When’s it available?

This is available to anyone who’s registered.

 

Marking an answer as solution

What is it?

Whenever one of your questions has been answered, please do not forget to mark the correct answer as solution. 

Accept as Solution Button.JPG

 You’ll know if a thread’s been marked as being the solution, as you’ll see a little green tick next to the title. You can then jump straight to the answer by clicking ‘Go to Solution’.

When’s it available?

This is available to anyone who’s registered.

 

Commenting on articles

What is it?

If you do have a question that is directly related to an article in one of our blogs or knowledge bases? Just leave a comment right below the article and let us know your thoughts. 

When’s it available?

This is available to anyone who’s registered.

 

Private messaging 

What is it?

This allows you to send private messages to other users. 

When’s it available?

You can do this once you’ve made your first post. 

How do I use it?

To send someone a private message, click on their username and this will load their profile. Then, select ‘Send this user a private message’ from the right hand side of the page. 

To view your inbox, go to the forum homepage and select ‘Private Messages’ from the list to the right of the page.

 

Email alerts  

What are they?

An option to be emailed when a thread is updated. 

This can be very useful if you’re waiting for an update for a particular issue. 

When’s it available?

This is available to anyone who’s registered. 

How do I use it?

When adding a new post, just check the box on the right of the screen to ‘Subscribe'. Alternatively, if there’s an existing thread that you’d like to subscribe to, just open the thread, select ‘Topic Options’ and then ‘Subscribe’. 

You can change your subscriptions by going to ‘My settings’ and then ‘Subscriptions and notifications’.

what means HexPoint? It is something like "Like" Smiley Happy ?

Hi Jakub,

yes this is something like "Like". If you like an article, an answer or whatever in the community you can give HexPoints and for sure you can also earn them and who knows what you can do with these HexPoints in the future. So start earning today Smiley Wink

Hi,

no, not at all. You can only earn HexPoints but will never lose them unless a user revokes his vote. The only way that you can lose your points is if you do not follow our Community Guidelines and we are forced to act but for sure we hope that this will never happen.
