mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

Hi Guys,

Some help would be graetly appreciated.

I am trying to implement a test terrain module to portals 3D view but am having some trouble.

I followed the video tutorial but one section is a bit misleading and that is the  terrainSource attribute value.

From the video the trailing value of .../%1/%x/%y.tif is added to the virtual directory but an image screenshot in the video and pdf displays .../%1/r/%r/%y.tif.Witch one is the correct one?

Then also , is the vr 3D plugin still required , no mention of it in the video.

Also installed is , but chrome and firefox does not seem to be happy with them , Chrome not supported and Firefox returns it as outdated and does not load it.

Also I get alot of errors logged in chrome and firefox related to mMapSDK.js:1 Refused to set unsafe header "Content-length"

FYI , i also set the MIME types for blob,JSON and myVR

Any help would be greatly appreciated.

Kind regards

Jacques

Re: mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

Hi Jacques,

  • The terrainSource attribute expects input like this: .../%l/%x/%y.tif
  • 3D plugin is deprecated since the plugin support was removed from the recent browsers. You don't need to install it, rather use forceWebGL="true" option in the webclient section of Portal web.config
  • I'm getting rather logging informations than errors when switched to 3D. Please firstly try with the native WebGL enabled.

Re: mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

[ Edited ]

Hi Jan,

Thanks for the reply.

I do remember the plugin was discontinued due to browser support , just thought I was missing something.

Okay, so I fixed the trailing value , see in the log the path is build up correctly now. Also set forceWebGL to true.

But :

1.So with the mTransformer I only build from level 8 to 19 so 8 do not contain many tiles and see in the log it is trying to acces tiles that does not exist.

2.Seems that I have a CORS issue , but I will fix this later as die virtual path address differ from the portal address.

3.

Cannot read property 'lat' of null

Refused to set unsafe header "Content-length"

Attached is the log of the events.

If you can maybe give me your opinion.

Kind Regards

Re: mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

Hi Jacques,

The error isn't familiar to me, could you perhaps try with a standard Portal layout? I can see you are using page called GeoFarmSA.aspx.

Re: mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

Hi Jan,

Yes , I will give this a try tomorrow and get back to you.

But It looks like a headers issue caused by content length in mMapSDK.js

But will try it and get back to you!

Kind Regards

Re: mTransformer TerrainSource attribute

Hi Jan,

Sorry for the delayed response.

I managed to get it working.

As you suspected , was something on my custom page.(VR js file issue)

Kind Regards

Jacques
