Hi, what types of authentication is possible to use for apollo catalog (legacy) WMS and WMTS services?
In our case: we have any own (from anothe system) security token that should be translated into apollo catalog WMS/WMTS (legacy) service.
It doesn't matter if it is used domain/erdas-apollo/coverage/EAIM? direclty or SDI domain/ApolloCatalogWMS/service.svc/get service. The security (for raster data) is set in catalog.
I know there is possible authentication with username & psw. Is it possible any different authentication (eg. any token)?
I read the apollo security documentation
I have not found it there }or I do not understand it fully)
I'm interested only in wms/wmts services, not portal application.

Hi Haiyan, many thanks for your reply, but I cannot findd the answer for my basic question:
Is it possible to use anything else than username & psw for the request authentication (eg. any user token in URL) ?

This may not be the answer you are looking for because it will not work with the Apollo Advantage legacy engine and is rather complicated to set up. But it will allow you to create a WMS/WMTS service that can be secured almost any way you want.
It is possible to create you own Advanced Security module (that will replace the current security) for services served from the embedded Apollo Essentials that can authenticate based on a token passed in the http headers.
This won't work for the existing Legacy Catalog services but will enable you to set up WMS and WMTS raster services coming from a new service in Apollo Core.
This is not simple to set up and requires some programming skill to create your new Advanced security module but it will allow you to have services that are authenticated any way you want.
More information about advanced security can be found here
