As an administrator who provides a COTS Consumer Portal with standard searches based on SQL Server data source, I expect I should be able to run my consumer portal site using https (ssl) instead of http.
Today Consumer Portal must be run over http in order for SQL Server based searches to work.
That also means I must remove the COTS functionality ‘Go to my location’ from the portal as that requires https.
Note: We have tried suggestions at https://community.hexagongeospatial.com/t5/WebGIS-Q-A/How-to-make-Consumer-Portal-working-with-HTTPS... with no success to date.
Hi Shaun,
we assume you ask for search configured on WMPS (which uses SQL Server source). Support for https is targeted for upcomming 2019 release.
Alina
Great thanks Alina, WMPS should be fine - I made the request generic in case needed to change implementation to non WMPS search (like Oracle search). Search performance is one main criteria (potentially seperate - have not explored).
The feature was implemented and will be offered with 2020 release (16.6).
