Adding Commands in GeoMedia via Wizard in VisualStudio project

Hello colleagues.

I'm trying to learn how to add custom commands in GeoMedia via Wizard. I've got a lab, in which it states that i need to add the add-in of wizard in my project.

I'm working in a VisualStudio 2017 and it doesn't have add-in manager, also MSDN states that add-ins are now deprecated. I've found that i need to create a VSIX project, add VisualStudio Extension and then, in Experimental instance open project. But it seems not to work as it written.

I simply cannot figure out how to run this wizard.

Could you show me a more simple way to add custom commands

Re: Adding Commands in GeoMedia via Wizard in VisualStudio project

Hello,

GeoMedia usually delivers the command wizard for one particular version of Visual Studio. I believe GM 2016 targets VS 2013. It is usually possible to somehow hack it and install the command wizard to another version of VS (if that version supports add-ons), but it is recommended to use the particular version of Visual Studio.
