Not sure if anyone else has come across this, but on our customers server, a call to http://server/consumerportalsite/getversion is taking between 4 to 6 seconds to come back. This gets worse as other similar calls are taking the same amount of time e.g.
I have had to (for testing purposes) removed the following line from the sites web.config file:
<add name="MapLoaderEssentials" type="Intergraph.ConsumerPortal.MapLoader.Essentials.MapLoader, Intergraph.ConsumerPortal.MapLoader.Essentials" />
The site now starts extremley fast but shows a unformatted mess in the slash screen (where the version and copyright info would usually appear).
The server is a Windows 2008 Standard R2
2 Processors (2Ghz each)
Anyone come across this one before?

I believe we came across a similar issue that consumer portal takes a long time to load; after our investigation, it turns out that consumer portal checks license in every http request when it is loading. It will start check whether you have license for Geospatial first, if there is no license for Geospatial Portal, it will check WebMap license from Advantage to Professional. This license checking process takes a considerate amount of time. We solved this issue by simply providing license for Geospatial Portal, not only just webmap. So, it is worth to double-check your licenses.
