Creating a Geospatial Portal instance

  • Click Administration Console link.
  • Proceed to „New instance”.




  • Choose prooper instance name.
  • Choose instance type "Geospatial Portal".
  • MyGeospatial Portal.
  • Click "create"



Administration Console - simple customizations:


  • Change the banner
  • Switch the theme
  • Sidebar location
  • Avaialbility of UI elements






Out of date License.

If after running your instance you got message like this one:




Your license is probably out of date and you need new one. Optionally you can reset your IIS:



Reseting IIS is also vital after installing new license.


Administration Console – Configure the starting Workspace


New in 2015: „Admin Portal”


  • Maps and Workspaces
  • Allow popups from localhost
  • Change the map range
  • Add additional data connections
  • Create a few maps
  • Save the workspace
  • Publish the workspace to existing instances






  1. Publish Geospatial Portal instance centered somewhere in your city.
  2. Change the Banner.
  3. Use Open Street Map data.


  1. Choose other layout.
  2. Remove unnecessary tools.
  3. Add different names for 2 languages.
  4. Add external WMS if possible.
  5. Create 3D Map.
