The GeoMedia Smart Client Product family consists of several server and client components:





GeoMedia Smart Client offers a range of core components to abstract basic programming functionality. The main components are:


Data Access 


Geometry Component

Security Components


The GMSC Data Access Layer provides

simplified access to data stored in:

  • Oracle Database
  • Sql Server Database
  • PostGIS (supported in Version 2016)

The GMSC Geometry Component

abstracts the vendor specific 

implementation of spatial

data types



The GMSC Security Compontents 

offer capabilities to

implement a user/roles/ claim based security model

including the usage of Active Directory Services



The Utils components offer:
  • Logging
  • Globalization
  • Inversion of Control
  • Filter models



GMSC Server

GeoMedia Smart Client Server offers SOAP based Web Services to exchange information with clients. On the server backend, GMSC offers a data model to access and manipulate GMSC related metadata and spatial data. The web services are reusing the GMSC Data Model.
