Hexagon Geospatial announces the immediate release of GeoCompressor 2018 Update 1 for Windows and Linux, which includes many new features, as well as resolution of various customer-reported issues.
GeoCompressor 2018 Update 1 is a stand-alone, high performance geospatial image and point cloud compression application designed to simplify the creation of ECW, JPEG2000, and HPC formats. Issues resolved include the following:
Customer hang that could occur when mosaicking JPEG2000 input files.
Inconsistent warning about thread count “exceeding CPU Core count.”
Clarified handling of input files where an unsupported GeoTransform is detected in the input.
UI errors referring to CompressionUtil.cpp when attempting to batch compress multiple images, or images without georeferencing.
Null and data block counts are now correctly logged, where previously they were only printed to the console.
Actions were takento ensure binary consistency across Windows and Linux generated outputs.
Fixed crash caused by a custom bandlist order. It will now honor the band count and order specified when mosaicking.
