Re: Upgrading a server from ERDAS APOLLO 2016 to APOLLO 2018

Hello Giuseppe,

ERDAS APOLLO 2018 is full new release (not a patch) so you need to uninstall APOLLO 2016 first.

So please, uninstall APOLLO 2016, the Data Manager 2016 and Foundation (no longer needed with recent versions of APOLLO).

In 2018 products, we have introduced a new licensing system so you need also to uninstall the license tool and install the new one (and request a 2018 license).

APOLLO 2018 will be able to upgrade your previous configuration (except the Portal) but, you can still make a backup of the config folder and the thumbnails, pyramids, etc. folders.

Also Apollo 2018 doesn't ship any Jave runtime, so user need to install the laest JRE before install Apollo 2018.

Thank you  Haiyan,

I had installed Java 64 before running the configuration wizard. So everything is fine, I think.

Why examples are not available?

Re: Upgrading a server from ERDAS APOLLO 2016 to APOLLO 2018

Hi Florent.

Regarding this issue, I've tried to upgrade to 16.5 version following the steps that you mentioned above: uninstall everything and install the new version.

The installation process didn't give any errors but when executing the configuration wizard I get the following error at the end:

cw_error.png

I've attached the log file that Configuration wizard has produced.

Can you help me with this issue?

Best regards,
