How to convert a binary raster file to an AOI layer that only covers the pixels with a value of 0 (zero)?
Display the raster mask image as Pseudo Color in a 2D View in ERDAS IMAGINE.
Add a new AOI layer to the same 2D View.
Click on the name of the raster mask image in the Contents panel to select/highlight it and open the raster attribute table (Table tab > View group > Show Attributes).
In the attribute table, click under the Row column for the 0 (zero) row so that it is selected/highlighted.
Click on the name of the AOI layer in the Contents panel so that it is selected/highlighted and then click the ‘Paste from Selected Object’ icon under the Drawing tab (Drawing tab > Edit group > Paste from Selected Object). **Please note that the Paste from Selected Object icon is located to the right of the Paste button.
