How can I configure NVIDIA 3D settings for ERDAS stereo applications?
If you have not configured stereo settings for your graphics card or if your computer system doesn’t have a graphics card that supports quad-buffered stereo, ERDAS stereo applications such as Terrain Editor, Stereo Analyst for ArcGIS, PRO600 and ORIMA will use anaglyph rendering techniques to recreate and display the 3D digital representation of the area of interest.
In order to configure 3D settings please follow below steps.
Open the NVIDIA Control Panel Settings.
Under 3D Settings select “Manage 3D Settings”.
Change the setting for Stereo Enable to “On”.
Check the Stereo Mode dropdown list for the correct emitter setting for 3D Vision. The options you see will depend on the graphics adapter and OS. Here are some examples:
“On-board DIN connector (with 3D Vision)”
“On-board DIN connector”
Or anything that relates to “3D Vision”
Once this setting is set, click apply to confirm your changes and then launch stereo viewer.
Make sure you have the latest drivers installed for your graphics adapter. All of the current Nvidia graphics card drivers contain and install the 3D Vision drivers by default. We have found that the “Performance Driver” usually works best when selecting the Nvidia drivers.
