The ORIMA camera focal length differs from the camera focal length in the printout.0 file.

Question

The focal length that we input with our ORIMA camera file (CAMEDIT) is different than the focal length that I see used in ORIMA, such as is reported in the printout.0 file.

Answer

ORIMA converts the USGS distortion values into the distortion values used by CAP-A. Please review the CAP-A manual. This conversion transforms the term K0 into a correction of the principal distance. Therefore the principal distance listed in the printout.0 file of CAP-A differs from the value as entered in CAMEDIT focal length.
