Question

What values need to be specified for radial lens distortion?

Answer

In the Camera Calibration Certificate, radial lens distortion values for different radii of the lens are specified. They are specified as the mean values and also as the values for the half-sides or semi-diagonals. IMAGINE Photogrammetry requires the mean values in order to take the radial lens distortion into account.

The Radial Lens Distortion values are not necessary in order to perform a successful triangulation. IMAGINE Photogrammetry will be able to compute a more accurate result if they are specified, but they are not a prerequisite, since they can be estimated by IMAGINE Photogrammetry.
