"Not enough memory for block preparation" error when attempting to calculate automatic tie points.

Question

What does the error message "Not enough memory for block preparation" mean when attempting to calculate automatic tie points?

Answer

This error message means that not enough ground control points have been specified. In order to find tie points IMAGINE Photogrammetry needs to have a certain number of ground control points and if they are not present it results in a memory error. In this case it is necessary to specify more ground control points. It is also of importance that the ground control points are distributed equally over the block and are of high quality, i.e., the majority of points should contain Z values and should be specified within the overlap areas.
