How can I adjust the z value of an DEM using GCP.

Hi monde,

 

So you're not looking for a simple transformation between vertical datums (for which a dedicated tool exists)?

 

If not then personally I'd look at the Linear Regression operator to set up a relationship between your known height locations and the surface values. Then apply that equation to the surface to map it to heights.

If you only want to change the Z value for a single pixel in your DEM you could use the Area Fill tool. The article linked below provides instructions to perform this task.

 

Manual editing of pixel values

 

Please be aware that in your case the Area Fill tool may be found under ERDAS IMAGINE’s Panchromatic tab or Thematic tab or instead of the Multispectral tab referenced in the article.
