GeoMedia Smart Client 2014 Certificate expiration on JAR files

by Moderator on ‎11-30-2016 08:52 PM (735 Views)

When will by GeoMedia Smart Client stop working due to the expiration of JAR signing?

GeoMedia Smart Client will no longer continue to run if the certificate expires and there is no Time Stamp on the signed .JAR files or the .JAR has been modified with out being resigned.
If the Time stamp or Certificate expiration date is verified and the signature is validated then the Application will be permitted to start by the web browser.
The keytool -printcert -jarfile myApp.jar will show the certificate and Time Stamp of the JAR as will the jarsigner -verify -verbose -certs signed.jar.
Note: GeoMedia Smart Client 2014 JAR files do not have a time stamp and expire on December 23rd 2016.
