Hi Eulima,

please provide more information about the GSP SW that you use (Geospatial Portal, GeoMedia, ...?).

Thanks,

Jan

Re: HGDN Subscription

Sorry for the lack of clarity. I wonder how to programmatically get the coordinates of a point feature class em GeoMedia?

Thanks,

Re: HGDN Subscription

Hi Eulimar,

Thanks for specifying the software. Still we lack a little bit of the context, e.g. what is the source of the feature - is it part of some query, displayed on map, selected? What is the intended interaction with the user?

Anyway, the general workflow would be to:

  1. Get a recordset which you want to inspect. The source can be for instance a document select set. There are samples how to process these select sets:
  2. Once you have a proper recordset and its row, you can check the geometry GField column for the geometric data
  3. Assuming that you know the geometry type, use GeometryStorageService to translate between data BLOB to geometrical object. Sample usage:

Additionally I've found a command that looks like a fully working example on how to get geometry information from the selected objects:

Re: HGDN Subscription

Hi, thanks for listening.

The source is a connection (Point Feature) shapefile
