Is GeoMedia release of Spatial Modeler 64bit?

Is the Spatial Model Editor delivered with GeoMedia 2020 64 bit?

e.g. running a spatial model within the spatial model editor environment or from the command line, is it running 64 bit?

e.g. running a spatial model from within GeoMedia, is that 32 bit?

Does it make any difference if I install ERDAS Imagine and run models from ERDAS Imagine instead?

Re: Is GeoMedia release of Spatial Modeler 64bit?

There are both 32-bit and 64-bit versions of Spatial Modeler.  Because GeoMedia runs SM in-process, it must deliver the 32-bit version.  The Spatial Model Editor delivered with GeoMedia is also therefore 32-bit, as are other executables, e.g. smprocess.exe.

If you install/run IMAGINE, you will be running the 64-bit version of SM.  However that will not affect GeoMedia's delivery.

Feel free to log an Idea suggesting a move by GeoMedia to use of 64-bit SM.  It is not without challenge, but out-of-proc execution of SM from within GM is sufficiently feasible for us to consider it.  - Hal
