feature type dimension

Is there in GeoMedia a feature type dimension?

If not, can I view something like the following on the map window?

Re: feature type dimension

Yes , look in Help and search for 'dimensions', there is lots of Information.

Under tab Vector > Annotation > Text and Labels you will find Define and Insert Dimensions commands

Re: feature type dimension

Is it possible to display the dimension units as well? So the example in the original post was for 1.5 feet, denoted by 1.5'  If my co-ordinate system are set to nm, for example, can I display 1.5nm on the dimension?

Re: feature type dimension

Sorry but i simply have never used dimensioning to do this, i've always generated a functional attribute, then label result.(orient to geometry)

I generally only label cadastre segments with  angles and distances in various formats without dimension lines.

ie TEXT(LENGTH(Input.Geometry, ProjectedMeas, NauticalMile), '0.0  nm')

    TEXT(ANGLE(Input.Geometry, ProjectedMeas, Degree), '0.00  ')+'"'

I believe you can do this with the Advanced labeling expression builder also.

Could not see this when i had a quick look at Dimensioning.

Here's an approach if you want to retain the Dimension lines, see attachment
