GeoMedia Desktop 2016 fails to initiallize after removing ERDAS IMAGINE 2016.

GeoMedia Desktop 16.00.0000 will fail to initialize after installation and removal of ERDAS IMAGINE 2016.  GeoMedia Desktop installs Spatial Modeler, as does IMAGINE.  Because of slight differences in the functionality of these two versions of Spatial Modeler, removal of IMAGINE will leave the Spatial Modeler delivered by GeoMedia Desktop in a corrupt condition, which will cause initialization errors when GeoMedia is started.

To resolve, run the setup.exe for GeoMedia Desktop 2016 and select the 'Repair' option.
