While the standard Redigitize command is capable of redigitizing a selected feature, this command operates only on the geometry portion of the feature if the data is stored in a single read-write feature class. The Redigitize LRM Segment command is designed to reshape an LRM segment that belongs to a multilevel LRS dataset and most importantly will adjust the measure attributes appropriately. The command also updates the corresponding features in other layers of the data model to maintain data integrity. The Redigitize LRM Segment command is designed to work for “New” mode, where you are trying to capture real-world change by assigning a new datum for the changed geometry. However, for “Correction” mode, where there is no real-world change but you have a better understanding of what the real-world geometry is, you should run the Interactive Multilevel LRS Conflation command. That command will allow you to conflate the changed geometry to the existing datum.
Please see attached 'RedigitizeLRM.pdf' document for the complete procedure which references this data set.
