Question

How does one secure all tables in a schema using GeoMedia referential integrity constraints.

Answer

Setting Processing Mode and Rules for Securing Parent/Child Tables: GeoMedia supports referential integrity constraints for version-enabled tables. If the Auto secure/unsecure dependent tables check box on the Options dialog box is not checked, the child tables have to be secured before the parent table. Also, parent tables have to be unsecured before the child tables are unsecured. When the check box is checked the software finds all the tables that have to be secured/unsecured, based on the table or tables selected, and secures them. In other words, GeoMedia automatically handles the securing of dependent tables if you have told it to do so via the options dialog.

If the parent/child relationship is very complicated, secure all of the child tables first.
