GeoMedia Layout: Printing to PDF queue fails to create output when printing large high resolution PDF files; problem may also occur when printing to standard non-pdf format print queues.
When printing large sheets at high resolutions to pdf print queue, nothing happens and the pdf file is not created. Changing the resolution to a lower value and/or selecting a smaller sheet corrects the problem.
The problem where large pdf files are not produced at high resolution is a Windows limitation. The issue can be reproduced outside of GeoMedia when printing to PDF at high resolution from NotePad.exe. For example, you may be able to see the problem if attempting to print a 92 x 92 pdf with a resolution of 1200 dpi.
According to a Microsoft Support article, the problem occurs when: (Paper Width in inches * dpi) * (Paper Length in inches * dpi) exceeds 4gb (Hex: 0xFFFFFFFF) which has a decimal value of 4294967295. This means that your layout paper width * dpi * layout paper height * dpi must result in a value that is less than 4,294,967,295 The dpi value can be seen in the Advanced printer settings.
The MicroSoft Support article suggests a work-around by editing the registry. See article: https://support.microsoft.com/en-us/help/2011767/unable-to-print-large-page-documents-from-windows
