Error Tracking in GMSC custom Workflow

Hi,

 

When I tried to execute a custom Workflow command we get an error.

 

The Workflow.log logged as below:

"10.12.2018 14:34:40 ERROR - Controller form has raised an exception in Action Index.
Intergraph.Emea.Workflows.ResolveModelException: Could not resolve property 'DefaultValue'.
[Data]
DefaultValue: ORA-00942: table or view does not exist

But, it does say anything about the cause of the error or line number. Is there a way to know where exactly the error happening.

Hi Anil,

 

In this case it is indicating the 'Table' or 'View' does not exist.

Have you confirmed the Table name set in the properties?

What is the user attempting to do in the workflow at the time of the error? Are they using an action? This information would possibly help explain things.

Hi,

 

We found the reason for the error. Reason was the user does not have select permission on other schema.

However, the error log just says general error message. It not gives an idication of which form or line number. This can be expect in the customer site in future and it will take time to identify. If there is a way to track error by any settings, please let us know.

hi Anil,

 

if you set debug mode to true for the Workflows you will get the statement which fails, so you can search for it in your workflow definition. Of course the error message from the database will remain the same.
