Hi,
With the latest release of GMSC, in which Java Web Start is replaced by a so called “Hexagon App Launcher”, what is the procedure for the user to access the application: a) the AppLauncher.exe available in the folder C:\Program Files\Intergraph\GeoMedia SmartClient\Program\AppLauncher has to be delivered to each user; or b) there is a way to download this tool when the link http://<servername>/GMSC is requested from the browser?
I've tried the second option without sucess, but I just want to be sure that this is not related with some installation problem, and the option a) is the one to be used.
TIA,
NA

Hi NA,
have you tried this link http://<servername>/GMSC/AppLauncher/AppLauncher.exe? It works ok for me.

Hi,
Yes, with the link I can download the file (which is better than delivering it manually to all the users), but I was expecting some kind of validation when calling http://<servername>/GMSC/ , i.e., if the AppLauncher is not installed it will redirect to http://<servername>/GMSC/AppLauncher/AppLauncher.exe , otherwise, it will open GMSC immediatly.
But it is manageable this way.
Thanks.

Hi,
I have installed GMSC 16.5 SP3. Configured GeoMedia Smart Client Configuration wizard with valid license.
I am able to access the Administrator http://<servername>/GMSC/Administrator.
Now, I am trying to launch client. I have installed AppLauncher.exe provided in the location C:\Program Files\Intergraph\GeoMedia SmartClient\Program\AppLauncher. When I try to browse the url http://<servername>/GMSC/AppLauncher/AppLauncher.exe, I am getting error message as attached (AppLauncher.PNG).
Please assist me on this. There is anything to do with license?
Thanks & Regards,
Anil

Hi Anil,
Do you see 2 folders called "Hexagon.GSP.Server.Licensing" located under C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_32 and C:\Windows\Microsoft.NET\assembly\GAC_64 ?
Have you tried a Repair on GMSC ?
Thanks
