Highlight a Recordset item in Mapview

I am thinking of a command button, which highlights the selected object in a mapwindow from a recordset. The ID of the recordset item is known. But I cannot find any solution for this.
Is there a method for "converting" a recordset object into a mapview selected object?

Re: Highlight a Recordset item in Mapview

Hi Chris

In the tutorial https://hgdsupport.hexagongeospatial.com/API/GeoMedia/Building%20on%20the%20GeoMedia%20Engine/#dvtom... you can see from step 3 and further how to highlight objects in the map.

If the data is not still loaded in the map you have to start with step 2.

Imported is to set the Bookmark property correctly.

Best regards

Re: Highlight a Recordset item in Mapview

Hi hesrah,

Thank you!
In the meantime, I made another solution for this problem.
I made a recordset, containing only the one item I want to be highlighted or selected in the mapview.
Then I get the running Geomedia's document object's SelectedObjects property:

objSelObjs = gobjGeoApp.document.SelectedObjects

and the next step is to clear it:

after that, i add the created recordset to this object:

then just refresh the mapwindow... And it's working! :-)

Best regards,
