Licensing Tools: 2 services in one

Hi

Customer is thinking of installing two license-services on one machine, splitted by different ports.

Background is that he wants to separate licenses for different usergroups e.g. one service with 3 licenses for 5 clients (power-user) and another service with 10 licenses for over 30 users.

Is something like that possible?

Regards

Stefan

Re: Licensing Tools: 2 services in one

Have you looked at using the options file and the GROUP and MAX settings -

GROUP
GROUP group_name user_list
Defines a group of users for use in INCLUDE, INCLUDEALL, INCLUDE_ENTITLEMENT, EXCLUDE, EXCLUDEALL,
EXCLUDE_ENTITLEMENT, and RESERVE option lines.

MAX
This option applies to concurrent licenses held in license files and trusted storage.
MAX num_lic feature[:keyword=value] type {name | group_name}
Limits usage for a group or user

Details are in the LicenseAdministration.pdf with Flex licence software.
