# Round up numbers in functional attributes

[ Edited ]

Hi,

As a GeoMedia user I would like to know if there is a possiblity to use a "round up" function in the funtional attributes.

There is the normal "round" option, but when choosing that one, numbers are rounded up and down and not just up.

Does anybody know, how I could implement a function, where numbers are only rounded up?

Thank you,

Elena

## Re: Round up numbers in functional attributes

You could use multiple Attributes based on each other for that:

Maybe it's a way to check the decimales (e.g. ",25") - check the difference up to 1 (1-0,25) - and in your last attribute you set Input.Value + difference.

I didn't check that in the software, but it should be possible with 3 attributes.

It's a workaround.

I may be underestimating the problem, but I would think that instead of ROUND(<fieldname>) it would work to say ROUND (<fieldname>+0.5).  - Hal

Hi Hal,

but what if you have a 2.0?

Then it would be: 2.0+0.5=2.5 which would be 3 with roundup?
