Automatic detection of clouds and shadows of a cloud on images

Hello,

I have a number of 1000 images in a triangulation project.

How can I automatically detect images that have clouds or shadows on them?

Thank you for help

Re: Automatic detection of clouds and shadows of a cloud on images

Hello Eug,

Most of the work done for automatic cloud and shadow detection from aerial images are based on the Image Segmentation and Topographic Normalization functionalities respectively. You can try using those two tools in IMAGINE with your aerial images.

For satellite images , such as Landsat ETM+ , a simple model for cloud mask, has been provided in the following knowledgebase article: http://community.hexagongeospatial.com/t5/Spatial-Recipes/Simple-Cloud-Mask-for-Landsat-Imagery/ta-p...

Thanks
