I am generating point clouds from Pleiades tri-stereo images. I had assumed that all bands would be used, but now I realise that single band must be specified. Which band generally works best of B, G, R and NIR? The area I am working in is the lower Himalaya, with urban, forest and high mountain areas.

Personally I'd go with the bands least affected by atmospheric attenuation (and therefore hopefully having the greatest contrast), which would usually mean Red or NIR. Probably Red.
But I'm not a Photogrammetrist :-)

..And remember that in Pleiades imagery (and most SPOT-6 and -7), the red wavelength is the first band stored in the image file (since the data are stored in the RGBN order, rather than the more normal BGRN).
