Clip rasters using vector with local SRS

Hi everybody,

I have raster data in local SRS that I added to the SRS list and assign it for the image. I want to clip this image using a vector file (with multiple polygons) in the same local SRS. I used Mosaic express function for that. At the end of the procedure it turned out that I have multiple black images. It seems that Erdas can't recognize the local SRS stored in .prj file. However I can not assign SRS for vector as I can do for raster data.

Any ideas, tips how to work it around?

Thanks,

Liz

Re: Clip rasters using vector with local SRS

Hi, LizKh,

First check both raster and vector file are overlapping correctly above each other.

I think you use Mask option to get subset output, steps are-

  1. Manage Menu> Vector to Raster, to create mask image
  2. Raster Menu> Subset&chip>Mask
  3. provide input as image, mask image and putput name, window intersection to get output.

it will solve your purpose.

Thanks,

Ram
