Hello,
I am trying to display DEM in ERDAS viewer, but the software is crashing.
Tried loading in both 2D and 3D viewer, also in ERDAS 2018 and ERDAS 2020, all are crashing.
The DEM file size is about 6.69 GB in .tif format with associated files .enp and .ovr
However, I am able to load it in other software like ArcGis and ENVI without problems.
Any clue for the problem and solution please.
PS: I don't want to split the data, would like to use as singe .img file.

Hi,
In the past I've had issues in IMAGINE with pyramid layers that were created by other software. I would move any associated files out of the directory and try opening the tif file on its own.
Also, check in Image Metadata that the projection looks good.
Cheers,
Johnnie

Dear JohnnieJ,
Thanks, yes you are right.
There was a .ovr file which was created by other software in the image diectory.
Deleting .ovr file resloved the problem.
Thanks and Best Regards,
