Sentinel-1 orientation

Hi all,

I am working with Sentinel-1 data. After I imported them in IMAGINE, they are shown flipped. This is the usual issue with Sentinel-1 data, which are flipped north/south or left/right depending on the ascending or descending orbit.

By chance I found out that I can show them correctly if I open a base map layer in the same viewer.

Is this correct and why is it working? or there is one other simpler way to do it?

Thanks,

Sabrina

Hi Sabrina,

When displaying your Sentinel-1 data in the IMAGINE 2D View, do you turn on the Orient Image to Map System option? This will resample your calibrated image on the fly to its map coordinate system to display it in the 2D View.

This option is found in the Select Layer To Add dialog under the Raster Options tab.
