Stereo Point Measurement Tool and ERDAS Instability

Dear all,
These days I am doing an IMAGINE PHOTOGRAMMETRY 2018 training for a customer. I noticed that when I use the Stereo Point Measurement Tool it happens (quite often) that ERDAS crashes.
I try to save the project (from the Stereo Point Measurement Tool) then close the window and it crashes.
It happened many times with different computers. I tried also to switch ON/OFF the stereoscopic 3D (working in mono), but it's the same.

Any suggestions?

Regards

Thank you. I am using new workstations, so drivers are ok. The graphic card is NVIDIA QUADRO K4200.

Windows 10

Re: Stereo Point Measurement Tool and ERDAS Instability

Hi Giuseppe,

Just because a workstation is new doesn't mean the manufacturer installed the latest drivers. It's always worth checking to see if there are newer drivers available. That may not be the problem here, but it's worth checking.

No offense taken !

Let us know if you're still encountering problems. If you are it may well require a support ticket to track down the cause.

Re: Stereo Point Measurement Tool and ERDAS Instability

On the workstations there were also other issues (for example some flickering in 3D point cloud visualization).

The performance improved after deactivating this windows service:
"Superfetch"
