TIN layer

I would like to ask you about an error that showed up, after the procedure of DTM extraction. A message appeared saying the following: 'Failed to insert points into a TIN layer.(>8000000)'..Could you please tell me if there is any solution for that and what does it mean exactly?

Re: TIN layer

Hi Sofia,

The TerraModel TIN format is limited to 8,000,000 points which is why you are getting the error. To resolve this issue try splitting the DTM. You can merge the DTMs afterwards using the Terrain Prep Tool.

Re: TIN layer

You can use the LTFx format when you generate DTMs that have more than 8 million points. LTFx is a hexagon TIN format does not have a limitation on number of points.
