Highlighting EML/SML code with EditPlus
One popular programmer’s editor, which works under Windows OS, is called EditPlus (trial version for 30 days or full product for $30 per user is available at http://www.editplus.com). While it can serve as a good replacement for Notepad, it also offers many powerful features for programmers and Web page authors. Apart from the powerful and customizable syntax highlighting, other futures such as line numbering, ruler and cursor position, auto-completion, powerful search and replace, multiple undo/redo steps are also available for speeding up the process of coding and debugging.
To create your own syntax files to support other programming languages is easy and quick. Here you can download two ready to use with EditPlus syntax files for highlighting EML/SML code (eml.stx and sml.stx packed in a RAR file).
These files must be added on the Settings & Syntax page of the Preferences dialog box (Tools Menu) before being able to see the specific EML/SML files highlighted.
Click the Add button and give a name for the coding language, then fill the rest of the fields and most importantly the Syntax file field where the path to the *.stx file is specified.
Now that it is possible to see highlighted files with extensions eml, inc, bcf, pmdl, mdl, and gmd.
