User may recieve error "No license available" even though the Professional license is not in use, and there are multiple concurrent licenses of different levels of IMAGINE, such as, Essentials, Advantage, and Professional.
For example, the user may have 3 licenses of IMAGINE Advantage and 1 license of IMAGINE Professional on a single license server. In this senareo the customer has several client systems pointing to one license server. All installations are identical. The first 3 systems to login consume Advantage licenses successfully, but the fourth system trying to use the professional license will recieve the error.
This is a very common question, and the key to understanding the problem is knowing how many seats of the software were purchased.
For instance, if the user purchases an IMAGINE Professional license, it will include a single IMAGINE Essentials, IMAGINE Advantage and IMAGINE Professional License, or access point. That is one seat. Similarly an IMAGINE Advantage license will include IMAGINE Essentials and IMAGINE Advantage in that one seat. Additionally if the user purchases an Essentials license then that seat will only contain Essentials. In this senario the user has access to 6 levels of IMAGINE but only has 3 seats of license. Therefore only 3 systems at anyone time may access IMAGINE. If three systems are accessing Essentials, Advantage and Advantage respectively, then an additional user will not be able to access Professional because the Advantage license of that seat is being used.
