As part of an evaluation of Hexagon Geospatial Power Portfolio products, an email which contains a .lic evaluation license file will be provided. If the .lic file does not start with SERVER please refer to the How to install a node locked evaluation license procudure.

To install the concurrent license:

  1. Download the product being evaluated from Hexagon Geospatial download page,
  2. Download the latest Geospatial Licensing Administration tool from our download page, specifically from here.
  3. Unzip the contents of the zip file in to a temporary directory.(Winzip or 7zip are preferred as Windows unzip may cause issues)
  4. As a user with local administrator rights, install the Geospatial licensing Administrator tool by running the Setup.vbs. (reboot if necessary as prerequisites may need to be installed).
  5. Copy the provided .lic file from your email to your local hard drive so it is easily accessible.
  6. Run Geospatial Licensing Administrator and navigate to License Management> Legacy Licenses (*.lic)>Import License File, select your Concurrent .lic file and Open. This will place a copy of the .lic file to C:\Users\Public\Intergraph\Licenses\Server folder and attempt to start the license service.                          Import License File.jpg
  7. As a user with local administrator rights, Install the Power Portfolio product using the setup.vbs if provided, and if not already defined as part of the setup configuration, set the licensing server as @localhost.

Please note that this assumes the licensing and the product are both installed on the same machine.

For a concurrent licensing sever / client configuration please refer to the Hexagon Geospatial Licensing Knowledge base.
