What versions of licenses can be generated or rehosted?

Answer

Please see the Power Portfolio Life Cycle post found here which states only products under mature support and newer can be generated or rehosted.

Please also note that licenses are typically backwards compatible, meaning a 2020 license will work with 2018, 2016 and very possibly 2015 depending on the product.

Question: If I have an LAC with ungenerated 6.1 licenses, will I be able to generate those 6.1 licenses after 1 March 2018? Or must all licenses be generated by 1 March 2018? i.e. not doing a rehost but generating new licenses from existing LAC. Thanks

how can I rehost a 6.1 license ? In the new license portal, I see only the 2016 version licenses of my customer. Thanks

The generation of unfulfilled licenses will be performed by the licensing team.  Requests should be submitted in a service ticket from the support portal.  If you do not have a login to the support portal, you can email your request to licensing@hexagongeospatial.com.
