Transfering local license server for external use

We are using ERDAS 2018 in our company and are facing the need for teleworking (because of covid-19...)

Right now, we installed our license on our local network so that it can be accesed from inside at an IP adress being like 172.31.172.##.

What should we do for teleworking? Rehost our license on an external server? Is it easy to do from the licensing portal? Are there any security issues from having the license on an server that can be accessed from the outside?

Thanks for your answers

Re: Transfering local license server for external use

Hi Nicolas,

Yes, you can rehost your license on an external server and there should not be any problems. Please read the article linked below for instructions to rehost your license. If you experience any problems you should create a ticket from the Licensing Portal and we will provide further assistance.

How to rehost a license using the Licensing Portal
