Changing the connection string of Workflow

[ Edited ]

Hello,

I have workflows created on M app enterprise rich client.

I need to point the same workflow to a different database.

Is it possible to edit the connection string of workflow in Mapp enterprise and redirect the workflow to a different database.?

If  I create a new connection and save the workflow with the new connection, will it distort the existing workflow forms?

Any help will be much appreciated.

Thanks,

Sreedevi

Re: Changing the connection string of Workflow

Hi Sreedevi,

A workflow can be pointed to a new/different connection from the M.App Enterprise Studio.
Through Content>Workflows bring up the list of workflows in the Tenant, then click on the 'Edit' icon to show connection details of the workflow you wish to alter.
From here the workflow connection can be changed to an existing connection already registered to the Tenant or a '+New' one can be added.
Once complete choose 'Save' and provided all other things in the workflow design ie. table name, primary key, attribute names used, etc. remain conistent in the newly designated connection it should be good.
