External script reference using localhost Url

Hello Community,

I am trying to refer a Json file in my local host in external library of map panel.

But I am getting error "script should begin with https://" even though it starts with https://.

Here is the Url I am trying to add:

https://localhost:444/MapExample/configuration.json

Can anyone please suggest what is going wrong here.

Regards,

Sreedevi

Re: External script reference using localhost Url

Hi Sreedevi,

It seems there's a bug in the RegExp validation mechanism, which doesn't validate all URLs properly. E.g. it gives the same error message when using IP address instead of web site name. Please log a support ticket for further investigation.

On the other hand, you shouldn't use localhost in the script reference as the clients won't be able to see the script like this. You should specify resolvable DNS name, or IP address.

Thanks,

Jan

Re: External script reference using localhost Url

It could be also possible to work-it-around by loading the external script using one of the methods mentioned here:
