MyGeo Service WMS performance Issue

Hi Community,

I am using using M.App enterprise mygeoservice to  add as an overlay on my background map. The vector data used in my geoserivce has around 70000 records. It is cached vector data. It is taking about 13 seconds to load the layer on the map.

Is there any way to improve delay in my geoserive WMS.

Sreedevi

Re: MyGeo Service WMS performance Issue

Hi Sreedevi,

quite difficult with the detail of information to get a good answer here, but let's do some Q&A here:

  • Only one layer as a WMS? Any specific reason for that (using it in a 3rd party software as well)?
    • I would suggest to do a "Vector Set" (if it is just for backgorund).
  • Are other vector layer (live or cached) working properly?
  • Is the WMS in 3rd party software as slow as you describe it?
    • Could be an overall server / database issue?
  • Which app type are you using?

Kind regards,

Stefan

Re: MyGeo Service WMS performance Issue

Hi Stefan,

I am setting up a browser app. There is only one layer as WMS. It requires to be displayed as one layer. This layer is cached. But caching is not improving the loading time. Other vector data which doesn't have huge data is not taking this much time(live/cache). I am using this M.App enterprise browser app in another leaflet application.

This is how the browser app is set up in MApp enterprise.

  1. The vector data has around 80000 records and it is  cached
  2. A WMS is set up using the vector data and it is also cached.
  3. The vector data is added to legend and legend is added to browser mapp.

When i run the browser map it takes 9 seconds to load the layer on it.

I login to this browser app from a custom leaflet app and get the information about WMS layer. I set up  open street map as the background map and add the WMS as an overlay.

Once the background map is displayed,it takes 13 seconds to get the WMS layer.
