Panning during a capture of linear geometries in desktop app

Our users are required to capture long  geometries such as lines along roads on top of aerial photography, and find it difficult when they get to the end of the map extent but the line still has to be continued. In order to use the panning with the mouse user have to commit the geometry, but after panning there's no way as far as I know to continue the geometry. The only way which I know to pan without stopping the data capture operation is to use the navigation arrows tool but this is not so comfortable for the users. Are there any alternatives? To pan with keyboard, or to continue geometry?

Hi Gideon,

You can use Alt+[arrow key] shortcut to pan the map.
