SLD support in MApp Enterprise

Hi,

For a tender for a new web based mapping system/mobile mapping, we would like to propose M.App Enterprise.

In order to respond we need to build a demo system using data supplied by the end-user. They have supplied 98 vector layers each with individual styling rules in .SLD format.

How can I easily apply those styling rules (SLD) instead of individually setting up each vector layer? Should be able to re-use the already configured styles.

Thanks,

Jonny.

Re: SLD support in MApp Enterprise

You could use SQL scripts fill the MAPP_STYLE table:

ID

NAME

STYLESET_ID

STYLE

The id column is the GUID like primary key.

The name column must correspond with the vector dataset name.

The styleset_id column is the foreign key to the style set.

The style column holds the plain text SE (Symboloby Encoding) XML syntax. So if you take the SE portion from the SLD and it should be fine.

Only symbols would need some preprocessing ... it's just about the URL of the OnlineResource that holds the actual symbol file. But let's discuss that later on.

Re: SLD support in MApp Enterprise

Hi - I also now have one SLD with 170+ styles. Are there any example of how to actaully insert this into the MAPP_STYLE table please?

Is there a way to then apply these stylesets in a Analyzer View??

Thanks

Re: SLD support in MApp Enterprise

The basic limitation was that MAE only supports OGS SE and not full SLD specification. See Ideation board for suggestion - https://community.hexagongeospatial.com/t5/Product-Ideas/M-App-Enterprise-ingest-of-SLD/idi-p/37943
