Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

Hi,

please provide additional context. It is not clear how you change the protocol and where. There may be some problems in the Java proxy settings on your client if it happens only to Desktop application.

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

Hello,

while trying to run app at firefox, there is a security warning and it ask me to add exception for that web site. i have accepted to add exception. after clicking the app, the browser redirect me to the following url:

jnlps://servername/api/v1/desktopclient/bce907d8-ba75-46bc-9551-a14076ad7d79.jnlp?tenant=demo&refreshToken=971bb08d-5953-41a2-b3e5-14816091fc27

i have just changed jnlps at the start of url to https (just as a trial) >> the application run

I need the apps to be run using any browser (chrome, IE, and of course firefox without url changes)

Maha

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

it's probably because of SSL certificate and Java security. Please get a valid certificate or change security settings in Java. You can try also by adding your server in the exception list inside Java Control Panel.

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

The server certificate is created on the server using IIS.

Here are some instructions using IIS 7 to create a self signed certificate

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

The server certificate is not delivered with the license file. They are separate items.

An SSL certificate is required on the M.App Enterprise server because all requests of M.App Enterprise are secured http (https) requests.

At the time of installation/configuration a certificate would have been specified.

To change this the installation would need to be 'Modify' via 'Program and Features' on the server.

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

Hi,

I have created the self signed certificate at iis, then use it at M.App enterprise.. the desktop app is running now without the security risk error at the server.

at client machine.. still can not launch desktop application at all..

Re: Can not launch M.App desktop app

Hi,

depending on security settings self signed certificate may not be enough to lunch the app. You need to provide a certificate issued by a known Certification Authority, especially if you are going to use M.App Enterprise in a production environment.

This has nothing to do with M.App Enterprise and cannot be part of product delivery. To have an understanding of what https and SSL certicates imply, you can have a look for instance here.
