Spatial operator to classify pixels by RGB-value

Hi all,

What is your favourite/most recommended operator in Spatial Modeler to classify image-pixels based on their RGB value?

Thanks in advance.

Re: Spatial operator to classify pixels by RGB-value

Hi Dominik,

The Unsupervised Classification operator will classify pixels with similar spectral characteristics by applying unsupervised feature extraction techniques. You can choose between the K Means or ISODATA methods. The K Means method requires you to enter a predetermined number of output classes and the pixels are iteratively classified into this number of clusters without any deleting, splitting, or merging during the process. The ISODATA method permits you to set a range for the number of output classes and it can perform cluster deletion, splitting, and merging between iterations.

Kind regards,

Stephen Bent
