Sometimes the filters that are applied to an image are too harsh in their visual impact. This model provides a blending effect between the original image and the filtered results. The model blends the selected filter kernel with a “No Effect” kernel and then applies that blended filter to the original image.

The Set Center Value sub-model enables the “No Effect Kernel” to be automatically set up to match the size of the user-selected kernel.

A blend value of 0% means, effectively, don’t apply the filter, just show the original image; 100% means just show the results of the raw filter; and anything in-between means blend n% of the filtered image and 100-n% of the original image. You can use Preview to tweak the blending in real-time until you like the effect, then Run to an output file to save results as a raster file.
