Using Photogrammetry Spatial Modeler Operators with aerial images

Dear all,

I would like to support a customer that want to manage aerial images in the Spatial Modeler. He wants to triangulate images and extract the DSM. I have some experience about this (photogrammetric recipes in the spatial modeler) with satellite images. Is it possible with aerial images?

Is it possible to import a .blk file in the spatial modeler? (I think no)

Thank you very much

Re: Using Photogrammetry Spatial Modeler Operators with aerial images

Hello Giuseppe,

We don’t have bundle adjustment operator. We have data triangulation operator which only supports RPC models. Tridicon SGM operator only supports RPC model as well. You can use the operator if the aerial images have RPC coefficients associated with them. Besides the RPC coefficients, the raster files should be the epipolar-resampled for Tridicon SGM operator.

Best regards,

Yasemin

Re: Using Photogrammetry Spatial Modeler Operators with aerial images

Thank you for the reply Yasemin,

The customer is working with UltraCamXP aerial images (third level, 4 bands).

Do you think that he can manage them in the spatial modeler?

His actual workflow is this:

  • with Inpho software he triangulates the block;
  • he imports the Inpho block in ERDAS;
  • automatic tie points generation;
  • triangulation;
  • DEM generation;

He would like to automatize as much as possible the workflow. Do you think is it possible? How, using the spatial modeler?
Thank you vey much
